MaleusMaleus
Sovereignty

The code is yours. Leaving is the default, not a clause.

Everything Maleus builds, backend included, is delivered into your own Git repository on a standard, open stack, and runs on any infrastructure you choose: your cloud, on-premise, or air-gapped. No proprietary runtime. If you ever outgrow Maleus, the software leaves with you.

The problem

On most platforms, 'you own it' has an asterisk

Plenty of tools will tell you the code is yours. The asterisk is everything around it: the backend, the runtime, and the place it runs. That's where ownership quietly leaks.

Owning an export you can't actually run isn't owning the software.

The alternative

Where 'you own it' breaks down, by tool

The same gap shows up three ways, depending on what you built it with.

AI app builders

Your code syncs to a repo, but the backend is a rented service. The data and auth live on their platform, so leaving means migrating.

Low-code platforms

A proprietary runtime. The 'export' is configuration that only re-runs on their platform; you can't stand the app up on your own.

Prosumer tools

A front end and little else, no real backend, so what you 'own' was never a system you could run.

All three leave the same gap: you can't run it on your own infrastructure. Maleus closes it. You get the whole system, on an open stack, to run anywhere.

It's yours by default

Yours, all the way down

Not a clause you invoke, but what you receive, what it runs on, and where. Each one opens up for your team.

01

You own the whole system, not just the front end

The complete application is delivered into your own Git repository: frontend, backend, the database, the tests, the documentation, the CI/CD, and the agents that run it. The backend is truly yours, not a managed service you rent.

Ownership that holds up, not a checkbox: you hold the running system, not a front-end export with someone else's backend behind it.

02

It runs without us, on an open foundation

We publish our core infrastructure as open source. The app runs on a standard, open stack with no proprietary runtime, so there is no closed black box you depend on us for.

Because you hold the source and the foundation is open, there's nothing to strand: no escrow to negotiate, no migration off a runtime you never controlled.

03

It runs on any infrastructure you choose

The delivered app deploys to your own cloud, on-premise, an air-gapped network, or a sovereign cloud, including a SecNumCloud-qualified one, with rollback and project isolation. You choose where it runs, and under whose jurisdiction.

Three sovereignties in one: where your data lives, who operates it, and who owns the underlying tech. Few in this category can run anywhere; a standard, open stack is why we can.
