Manage artifact templates

Artifact templates shape the structured outputs your workshops produce (epics, sprints, ADRs, user flows…). Browse the global ones and write your own.

An artifact template defines the shape of one kind of structured output a workshop session can produce. Epics, sprints, ADRs, user flows, drafts and many more are all artifact templates. The page lives at Workshop → Artifact Templates.

The layout is master / detail, like Workshop Templates.

  • Global templates ship with Maleus and are read-only.
  • Custom templates are yours: edit, duplicate, delete.

Create a custom template

  1. Use the new template action.
  2. Fill in the fields the editor shows.
    • The template name.
    • The template description.
    • The structure the agent must follow when generating instances of this artifact.
  3. Save.

The new artifact kind now shows up in the Generate picker when someone creates a workshop with a compatible template.

Duplicate a global template

Global templates are read-only. Use the duplicate action on a global template card to seed a custom version you can adjust.

How it connects

Workshop sessions list artifact groups (Page, Ticket, Sprint, Version, etc.). Each group surfaces the templates of the corresponding kind. When the agent produces an instance during a session, it follows the structure defined here.

Take the Tour the artifact templates page for a step-by-step walkthrough of the sidebar, the detail view, and the duplicate flow.
